Paper Maniac Inspirations ~ Who needs perked up?

Wow! It is hard to believe that it is already the Monday after New Year's and the kids are back in school today. I loved having the kids home these past two weeks, but I will be so glad to get back on a schedule around here! I knew it was going to be rough getting everybody up and back on schedule today. So, I thought this card using Fueled by Caffeine from Our Craft Lounge would be just perfect!

I stamped the image and sentiment on Select White CS and colored them with PrismaColor Markers. I used circle and oval nestabilities to cut them out. I just love the colors in this designer paper from Cosmo Cricket called Nutmeg and I love how it looks on this card. The CS and satin ribbon are Dark Chocolate from PTI.

I also used this weeks sketch challenge the Get Sketchy Blog for this card.

Make sure you check out this post on the Paper Maniac Blog to sign up for the Magical Mystery Blog Hop ~ you get a $5.00 gift certificate just for joining in the fun!

AiFactory New Release Thursday

Hi all! Long time no blog LOL. These past two weeks have been so relaxing and I loved spending the extra time with my family, but it was awesome to get back into my craft room!

Today, I am super excited to share with you these adorable NEW digi-stamps available today at AiFactory. Here are pics of both sets being released today at the store.

Adorable right? Here is my card using one of the awesome images....

I printed her out on Select White CS and colored her with PrismaColor Markers. The dsp is called Berry Sweet and is from K & Company. The sentiment was supposed to be live in harmony but the rub-on didn't want to cooperate so it just says harmony for now.

To see more fabulous creations using the new stamps be sure and visit all the DT Blogs...

Multi-Challenge Card with Pax Penguin

TGIF! It has been a long week and I am so ready for the weekend. We are going to see New Moon tonight and I can't wait. Thought about going to the midnight showing but decided to wait...not real big on crowded movie theaters. It will probably be just as crowded tonight but I am keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that it won't be as bad.

Today, I decided to use one of the new November digi releases from The Character Cafe. This is Pax Penguin ~ Isn't he just too cute? I printed him out on Select White CS and colored him with PrismaColor Markers and added a little bit of stickles to the snow and ice. I wanted to add a sentiment to the bottom right but couldn't find any I liked so I left it off til later.

I am entering this card in a few different challenges.....
- Friday Sketchers 79
- DU2DS Challenge 26 (Glitter)
- Cupcake Craft Challenge 66 (Digital Image)

Be sure and check out Feature Friday at the Character Cafe Blog. The challenge this week is a sketch challenge and the DT has some awesome inspiration to share with you.

True Heroes

Happy Monday everyone! I have a very special card to share with you today. In honor of the upcoming Veteran's Day (Nov. 11th), I wanted to make a special card to honor our Veterans and all the brave men and women currently serving in the Armed Services.

Having served four years in the United States Army myself, this is a day that is very near and dear to my heart. I have many friends and family still in the service and many of them are in Iraq or Afghanistan and I pray daily for their safe and speedy return to their loved ones.

I thought this adorable image from Inky Impressions would be perfect for my card! I printed the camo background and used it to paper piece Lili's outfit. The My Hero sentiment is Star Prints from Papertrey Ink.

I am also going to use this card for Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #12 ~ Make a patriotic-themed card for a soldier. As a bonus you can donate the card to Operation Write Home and they will be distributed to soldiers who rarely get mail, or just need encouragement. Be sure to put your card in an envelope and write “Any Hero” on the front. For more information on how to make a card for “Any Hero” click here.

TCC Feature Friday ~ A Witches Brew

Happy Friday all! I am sooo ready for the weekend. I finally finished putting together all the games, crafts and last minute goodies for DD's Halloween party at school today. I am so hoping that after all this work there will be school today, the flu has hit our schools pretty hard and there are ALOT of kids and teachers out sick!

It is Feature Friday at The Character Cafe and Piali has come up with a wicked fun Recipe Challenge. It is called a Witches Brew ~ Using ONLY patterned paper from Halloween packs and glitter make a NON-Halloween card!! I had to really think about this one, but I just love the card I came up with. I used Sk8r Brady to create a Birthday Card. Everytime I see this image I think of my nephew so I am going to save this card for his B-day!

I printed the digi image on Select White CS and colored him with PrismaColor Markers. I used rub-ons to add the stars to the helmet and the "splattered paint" around the image. The DSP is from last years K&Company Halloween Specialty Paper Pack. I also used Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 252 for the layout on this card.

To join in on the fun and be eligible for this weeks fabulous prize and check out all the fabulous creations from the Design Team. Head over to the Cafe Blog and link your creation to Mr. Linky by 10:00pm (EST) Thursday evening.
