SSDS Week 4 ~ A Sketch Challenge

Hi all! Wow it feels like forever since I have been able to actually sit down and create a card! Our lives just got really crazy these past couple of weeks!! The kids went back to school, my daughter's cheerleading and dance are in full swing, my son has decided to play for two soccer teams this season so his practices and games are now double, and on top of all this we are faced with the possibility of a serious illness within our family. Whew!!! While we were nuts at first, we seemed to have recovered from the initial shock of this though and are finally getting on a schedule LOL!!

Anyway, enough about all that!! It is Week 4 at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday and this week we have a sketch challenge for you.

I just had to use this adorable digi stamp by Mo Manning available at Mo's Digital Pencil. I am absolutely addicted to all her wonderful images!! I printed the image onto PTI Select White and colored it with Prismacolor Markers.

To join in on the fun and be eligible for this weeks fabulous prize. Head over to the SSDS blog and link your creation to Mr. Linky by 10:00 pm (EST) Friday evening.

With Sympathy

Afternoon all! Hope everyone is having a pleasant day! It is another hot one in Ohio today. We have had a pretty mild summer but now it is starting to feel like August!!

I was in need of a sympathy card today for my BIL's fiancee. Her grandfather passed away on Monday.

I used Versamark to stamp the flower on the Ocean Tide CS and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the flower again in Ocean Tide ink for the main image and the sentiment was stamped directly over this on Memento Tuxedo Black.

Well I am off to the store. I thought we had all the school shopping done but of course there are a couple things we forgot!!

Thanks for stopping by,

CAS ~ So Sweet

Afternoon all! Hope you are having a great day! I finally have all the school shopping done and the kids are ready to go!

I made this card for a Clean and Simple (CAS) Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast. I just adore this cute little monkey!! He is a digital image from CC Designs so I just printed him directly on my card base and colored the image with Prismacolor Markers. I added a sentiment and some ribbon from Papertrey Ink and voila a simple yet fun card!!

Well I am off to spend some time with the kids. This is their last week of summer vacation so we are trying to fit to squeeze in as much fun as we can!

Pile It On Challenges ~ Butterfly Bling

Is it really Wednesday already?!? This summer is just flying by, the kids go back to school in just two weeks. I haven't even started any back to school shopping yet! Guess I can't put it off any longer LOL.

So I decided to try the Pile it On Challenge. Your card or project has to include their challenge plus at least one other challenge but the more challenges the better. It was really fun to see exactly how many challenges you could squeeze into one card.

I actually managed to use four challenges on my card.

-Pile It On: No pattern paper
-Splitcoast CAS #27: Show us your Bling
-Flutter by Wednesday #70: Use a butterfly
-Splitcoast Sketch #241

The image is actually from Can Stock Photo. They have so many elegant images to download.

Hallowhismsy ~ Bat Cat

Evening all! Finally getting a minute to sit down at my computer. We had our annual village festival this weekend and the kids think they have to be there all day everyday LOL.

After I made my fall card on Wednesday, it put me in the Halloween mood. So, I decided to use this adorable digital image created by Maurie J. Manning available in her store Mo's Digital Pencil. Isn't this just the cutest cat you've ever seen? It just makes me smile everytime I see it.

First Ever SSDS Challenge ~ Recipe - 2-4-6-8

Hello all! Sorry for the lack of posting this week. Between my sick child (who is finally feeling better) and getting the cheerleaders ready for the parade this evening, there are just not enough hours in the day.
Now on to some exciting news! Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday is having their very first challenge today!! There will be a new challenge on the blog every Saturday with a chance to win a fabulous prize. Today's challenge is a recipe challenge called 2-4-6-8. What does this mean? Your project should include 2 Buttons, 2 Ribbons, 2 Designer Papers and be 2 Layers.

For my challenge card, I used this adorable Strawberry digital image from Reece's Designs. I printed the image on PTI Select White CS and colored it with Prismacolor Markers.

Be sure and head over to the SSDS Challenge Blog and link your card before Thursday, August 13th at 11:00 pm EST for your chance to play and while your there don't forget to check all the awesome cards created by the rest of the Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday Design Team.

Remembering Fall

Afternoon all! It has been another crazy day!! My son seemed to be feeling better until we ran out to the store. As soon as he got hot and sweaty, his rash came back with a vengeance (yikes!).

I believe it is Poison Ivy, usually not a big deal but now it has spread to his face and is causing his eyes to swell up so we will making a trip to the doctor tomorrow!! Fortunately, I was able to make a card today before we ran out!

I just fell in love with this digital stamp from Pollycraft called Cherry Kisses ~ Remembering. The patterned paper is from last years DCWV Fall Glitter Stack. I just loved these papers when I saw and this is the first piece I used LOL. Sometimes, I think I am more of a paper collector than user!!

Well, I am off to take daughter to cheerleading. It is hubby's turn to take care of the cranky child for awhile!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Cosmo Swiss Pixie

Whew...it has been such a long day! My poor son does not feel well and let me tell you when he is sick nothing else matters LOL. He very rarely gets sick, he has only had one cold in his entire 11 years of life! So when he is sick it is pretty dramatic.

Anyway, I finally sat down to make a card after everyone went to bed and decided to attempt the Mojo Monday Sketch. Well, as soon as I had finished I realized I forgot the little square behind the circle (ugh!). I am really not surprised it has just not been a good Monday for me.

This adorable image is a digi stamp from All That Scraps called Swiss Pixie Gretel. I paper pieced her dress and boots with the Girl Friday patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket.

Well I am off to check on my son and hopefully get a little sleep before he needs me again.
