True Heroes

Happy Monday everyone! I have a very special card to share with you today. In honor of the upcoming Veteran's Day (Nov. 11th), I wanted to make a special card to honor our Veterans and all the brave men and women currently serving in the Armed Services.

Having served four years in the United States Army myself, this is a day that is very near and dear to my heart. I have many friends and family still in the service and many of them are in Iraq or Afghanistan and I pray daily for their safe and speedy return to their loved ones.

I thought this adorable image from Inky Impressions would be perfect for my card! I printed the camo background and used it to paper piece Lili's outfit. The My Hero sentiment is Star Prints from Papertrey Ink.

I am also going to use this card for Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #12 ~ Make a patriotic-themed card for a soldier. As a bonus you can donate the card to Operation Write Home and they will be distributed to soldiers who rarely get mail, or just need encouragement. Be sure to put your card in an envelope and write “Any Hero” on the front. For more information on how to make a card for “Any Hero” click here.

Thanks for stopping by,

{My Hero Supplies}

Paper: Chocolate Chip CS (SU!), Select White CS (PTI), Camo DSP (Computer Generated)

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Lemon Tart (PTI)

Accessories: Nestabilities, Black Pearls, Lemon Tart Satin Ribbon (PTI)

Hi Angie! WOW, this is sooo CUTE! Ya know, I even have this LiLi stamp and I never made the connection to color the ribbon yellow! I've been thinking of our soldiers quite a lot these last couple of weeks as one of our home town heroes PFC Alex Johnson was victim of a road side bomb and is back in the states recovering. LOOOVE that you printed the camo and pieced her outfit. Such a wonderful card. Thank you for entering this in our challenge at SSCC, and thank you and your family and friends for serving our country!
Hugs!
